It is EXTREMELY difficult to feel sympathy for Americans who cry about high gas prices. Our gas right now, which is lower than it has been for about 2 years, is still $3.369/gallon US.
At the peak, it was $5.299/gallon a couple of months ago. Try as I may, I'm just not feeling it for our Southern neighbors...
I love Texas, too!!!! (And not just for the lower gas prices, lol) I drive by our BP station here in town, and gas was at $1.95, I think. I did a happy dance in my car. I'm so very, very glad my hubs wasn't in the car with me at the time.
I love dancing in my car. But that's a whole 'nother post, I guess. :)

I got $1.82 yesterday near Houston!
In Jesus' name, Amen.
$1.87 out here in East Plano. WhoootWhoot.
I got $1.83 today. Pretty good, considering we didn't even have any gas a month and a half ago!
